Zone 1 (Moncton/South-East) & Zone 5 (Restigouche): Orange Alert Level

Orange Alert level: No organized sports permitted.

UPDATE: As of October 23rd, Zone 1 has returned to the yellow phase.

Members,

Please be aware that the provincial government of New Brunswick has just announced today that Zone 1:(Moncton/South-East) and Zone 5:(Resitgouche) of the province will move to the Orange alert level at midnight tonight.

According to NB's Recovery Plan, during this alert level:

Outdoor recreational activities are allowed, including campgrounds, ATV or snowmobile trails. No organized sports.
Gym and fitness facilities remain closed, including other similar sport or recreational businesses or facilities.
Note that for regions in orange level phase, individuals who reside in those regions cannot travel outside of the region to a yellow phase jurisdiction to participate in organized sport.

According to those guidelines, no organized basketball activity is permitted in the region until they are allowed to move back to the yellow alert level.

We have informed all member associations and clubs of this development and will be posting a similar message on our social media channels.
