Canada Basketball Presents: Women in Basketball Month

  March 8, 2021 - April 1, 2021

Celebrating International Women’s Day on March 8th, this virtual 4-week program will feature a variety of engagements for females in the sport of basketball to celebrate and enhance their participation in the game.  Through workshops, panel discussions, fireside chats and professional development sessions, women will have ample opportunities to grow their mindset and build their skills around our game. This event aims to provide affordable opportunities for women in sport to participate and learn from leaders in the sport of basketball.  The event will focus on different aspect of the game each week:

March 8-14: Grow Our Game
March 15-21: Coach Our Game
March 22-28: Ref Our Game
March 29-April 1: Play Our Game

In collaboration with Canadian Women and Sport, the event will also offer development workshops on a variety of topics throughout the month, including: i) LGBTQI2S Inclusion in Sport , ii) Creating Work-Life Balance, iii) Effective Communication and iv) Leading with Confidence.

Various ticket packages are available for access to the full 4 weeks of virtual programming:

Premium Ticket: $65; full access to all virtual sessions presented by Canada Basketball PLUS entry into all 4 workshops presented by Canadian Women and Sport

General Ticket: $25; full access to all virtual sessions presented by Canada Basketball

*Workshop Add-Ons: $15 each; participate in one or more workshops presented by Canadian Women and Sport
**NOCP 1 Workshop Add-On: $50; officials looking to participate in the NOCP 1 workshop should purchase this ticket; upon completion of the course participants can complete an application to have their fee reimbursed
 

All proceeds from Women in Basketball Month will be donated directly to the Canada Basketball Foundation, for investment and development of gender equity programs focused on keeping girls and women involved in the game of basketball.
