BNB Staff Feature - Bailey Black, Summer Program Assistant

Bailey Black was born and raised in Miramichi, New Brunswick. She grew up playing multiple sports and was a key member of many Basketball New Brunswick summer provincial teams. After high school, Bailey went on to complete her Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology degree while playing for the University of New Brunswick Reds for four seasons. Bailey has joined the BNB staff as the student summer program assistant. 

Where is the coolest place you've ever been (not including Miramichi!) and why?
"People from Miramichi tend to not stray too far from home, and I definitely fall under that stereotype, haha! But basketball has brought me many travelling opportunities and one of my favorites was our trip to Newfoundland when we visited Signal Hill! The view was amazing!"
 
What superpower would you like to have and then what would you do with it?
"Definitely the ability to fly. I have a lot of family that are spread across the country who I would love to be able to visit whenever I wanted to!"
 
Do you prefer reading or watching TV? Whichever you choose, what's your go-to book/show?
"I prefer watching TV and the series called Suits is what got me through the initial COVID lockdown last year! However, if I didn’t fall asleep every time I picked up a book I would probably read a lot more often!"
 
How would you spend 10 million dollars?
"Helping family, student loans, donating to organizations that support those in need, and travelling! I would also consider opening a business of some kind!"
 
If you could pursue any other sport other than basketball at an elite level, which would you choose and why?
"Anytime I am asked this question I always say soccer. I played soccer all throughout grade school and loved every second of it!"
 
Favourite pre and post game foods?
"I love a good bowl of pasta as a pre-game meal and a go-to post game meal for me is chicken stir-fry!"
